With the promise of providing essential nutrients without the fuss, Kids’ Greens & Superfoods Powders seem like a great solution for picky eaters. But which actually have all the nutrients kids need? And do any taste good enough for kids to drink without a fight?
That’s why I put the top kids’ greens powders to the test. My little “taste-testers” tried Hiya Kids Daily Greens + Superfoods, Bloom Kids Greens & Superfoods Powder, Organifi Kids: Easy Greens, Amazing Grass Kidz Superfood, and Peak Performance Kids Greens & Reds Superfood Powder. Plus, I talked to pediatric nutrition expert and registered dietitian, Rachel Rothman (MS, RD) to get her pick.
Just one brand passed the ultimate test: comprehensive nutrition AND my kids asking for more. Read on to find out which!

The Contenders
Let’s take a look at how the top kids’ greens powders stack up:

Nutrition & Ingredients
Here’s what our Pediatric Dietitian, Rothman, had to say about choosing a greens powder for kids:
- Look for diversity in foods: More fruits and veggies = more quality nutrients for growth, development, digestion, and immune health.
- Avoid sugar: It seems obvious, but excess sugar can cause dental and health problems.
- Beware of fillers and additives: What are the “other ingredients” on the label?
With the most whole food sourced ingredients and no sugar or unhealthy additives, Rothman selected Hiya as her favorite kids’ greens powder.
“Its blend of more than 55 fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and grain superfoods makes it a product I recommend for kids struggling to meet their nutritional needs,” says Rothman. “Plus, it contains 0g of sugar.”

Amazing Grass, Peak Performance, and Bloom have half the whole food diversity of Hiya, and varying amounts of sugar and other sweeteners. Organifi comes in last with only 9 fruits and veggies, and 2g of sugar.
✅ Hiya wins for nutrition & ingredients. But what about taste?
The Taste Test
Using a frother, I mixed each powder into the liquid as instructed (water for “green” drinks, milk for chocolate):

After trying each one, here’s what my kids (3 and 5) had to say:
🥇First Place: Hiya Kids Daily Greens + Superfoods was our winner. My kids actually asked for more. Milk chocolatey with a hint of cinnamon, I was surprised to find our Dietitians’ choice also tasted so good.
🥈Second Place: Amazing Grass Kidz Outrageous Chocolate came in second. The chocolate flavor was much fainter than Hiya’s, and the texture was chalky. Its 2g of sugar per serving is another knock here.
🥉Tied For Last: Organifi Kids: Easy Greens, Bloom Kids Greens & Superfoods Powder, and Peak Performance Kids Greens & Reds Superfood Powder all tie for last place.
Yes, these are the actual green powders. I have enough trouble getting my own greens smoothies down—so I wasn’t too surprised that my kids thought they “smell funny” and “taste gross.” My son immediately asked for water to get the taste out of his mouth.
The Winner: Hiya Kids Daily Greens + Superfoods

My picky eaters chose Hiya: not only did it taste the best, but with 55 whole food sourced ingredients, including organic fruits and vegetables and no sugar, it has the best nutrition of the Kids Greens Powders we’ve tested.
